Jaswant Khalsa grew up traveling, living in the Northeastern US, California, Japan, Europe, Arizona, and now Las Cruces, NM.  For three decades, she was an Elementary Montessori teacher. Alongside her earlier career outside the arts, she has sustained a studio practice for many years. Her work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions reflecting her ongoing commitment to painting as a contemplative and evolving practice. She also enjoys poetry, astrology, piano, pickleball, and tai chi.
