In pencil, pen, acrylic, ink, and/or watercolor, I explore gesture, color, and compositional rhythm. I am interested in openness rather than resolution—images that feel complete yet remain suggestive, inviting reflection and emotional resonance rather than literal representation. My paintings emerge through a balance of intention and responsiveness, allowing materials to guide the image while maintaining structural coherence.
My work focuses on the human figure, particularly women and their relationships in all facets of life. My work explores the interplay between inner and outer worlds, the seen and the unseen. I view the creative process as a gateway. Drawing and painting lifts the illusory veil between the physical and metaphysical and illuminates the sacred in everyday moments.
Along side an earlier career outside the arts, I’ve sustained a studio practice for many years. My work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions reflecting my ongoing commitment to painting as a contemplative, evolving practice.
