My images focus on the female figure in her many facets, often beginning with live model sketches. I’m fascinated by the interplay between inner and outer worlds, the seen and the unseen. With pencil and ink, acrylic, and watercolor, I explore gesture, color, and compositional rhythm. I am interested in openness rather than resolution—images that feel complete yet remain suggestive, inviting reflection and emotional resonance rather than literal representation.
My paintings emerge through a balance of intention and responsiveness, allowing materials to guide the image while maintaining structural coherence. I view the creative process as a gateway. Drawing and painting lifts the illusory veil between the physical and metaphysical illuminating the sacred in everyday moments.
Maintaining a studio practice for many years reflects my ongoing commitment to painting as a contemplative, evolving practice. My work has been in solo and group exhibitions in Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces, NM.
